Montol Festival in Penzance is a long-established midwinter celebration held on or around the winter solstice, blending revived Cornish customs, lantern processions, and costumed performances on the shortest day of the year. Backed by Penzance Council as one of Cornwall’s major winter events, it culminates in a central procession and festivities in the town centre on 21 December.
